You complain about Christians not being allowed to practice their religion in foreign countries, yet when someone tries to set up a Hindu temple/Mosque/Pagan or new age bookshop in your town you go ballistic and think it shouldn’t be allowed.
Your typical prayer uses the phrase “Lord Jesus” or “Lord God” more times than the Bible.
God regularly opens up convenient parking spaces, JUST FOR YOU.
Fundamentalist anything fucking scares me, whether it’s New Age or Islam, Amish or Jewish. Particularly when folks are discouraged from being oh, I don’t know, female. Or curious. Or intellectual. Or creative. Or fantastically inclusive, accepting, and understanding of lots of different kinds of people.
I probably haven’t mentioned it, but I’m currently working on a book entitled Drag Queens From Outer Space! Or: How I Learned To Love Managed Care™.
