The Great Tattoo Dilemma

askdrding | Tattoos, The Body | Tuesday, 30 October 2007

Dr. Ding has noted recently the uptick of interest in tattoo-themed apparel, and has been keenly observing same on sites such as Etsy and Ed Hardy.

Which brings me back to the age old question: what kind of tattoo should I get when I turn 40?

Suggestions? Bear in mind that I’m a major nerd. But…I’m not quite as nerdy as the person pictured above.

  • All I can see is a big drum with “Ta Ra Ra Boom Dee Ay” emblazened across it. (did you used to do this or is it just some concocted memory I have of you marching around GG’s basement yelling this song at the top of your lungs???)
I have been thinking about getting a tattoo the day I let my girls pierce something. It could be a bonding mother-daughter moment, right?

  • all i can think about is why on earth is Kirk side by side with Picard. clearly he should be higher, and also much larger…maybe with his mouth opened eating the other heads, like a giant whale.
    thank you

  • Latino gangsta script on your stomach that says “Hebephrenia is a laugh riot”. Or perhaps letters on your knuckles that spell out “S-C-R-E-W” on your right hand and “F-R-E-U-D” on your left hand.

  • Hee hee hee! I had almost forgotten about the Tararaboomdeay extravaganza! Maybe I should get that done in Old English script?
